Where auto parts are made in China

In Zhejiang, Ruian, near Wenzhou, has a dense network of spare parts manufacturers, and Taizhou produces many car and motorcycle parts. Guangzhou hosts large parts and accessories markets. Around the major vehicle manufacturing hubs, you also find tier suppliers that serve carmakers.

The quality gap between a tier-one supplier and a small aftermarket workshop is huge. Our job is to find the right level for your market and price point.

Fitment comes first

An auto part sells on its reference. We map cross-references to original part numbers and the vehicles concerned, ask for the manufacturer's cross-reference catalogue and, before any volume order, have a sample test-fitted on the target vehicle. Packaging must carry the references and barcodes your customers expect.

Shipping: heavy, dense and prone to corrosion

Metal parts are heavy: in LCL, weight is often what gets billed, and a 20ft container reaches its weight limit before it is full. See our CBM and chargeable weight calculator. For several weeks at sea, bare parts must be protected against corrosion: oiling, anti-corrosion bags, sealed packaging.
