Electronics sourcing in China, from Shenzhen

In electronics, a product that works in a demo is not enough: it has to be compliant, documented and reliable over time. We check all three before your order leaves Shenzhen.

What we source

  • Mobile accessories: chargers, cables, mounts, cases.
  • Audio: earbuds, headphones, speakers.
  • Small appliances and connected home devices.
  • LED lighting.
  • Pet electronics: fountains, feeders.

Why Shenzhen

Shenzhen and Dongguan have an unmatched density of manufacturers, subcontractors and component suppliers, with the Huaqiangbei market at the centre. Prototyping is fast and there is almost always a factory able to produce. The flip side: many resellers, copies, and factories that swap a component without telling you. Hence the need to check.

Compliance: the real issue in electronics

A test report is only worth something if it covers your exact model, is recent and comes from an accredited laboratory. A "reference" report issued for another product does not protect the importer in an inspection.

What we check before shipping

  • Functional testing on an AQL sample of production.
  • Charging, battery life and heat behaviour.
  • Markings: CE, crossed-out bin, importer details.
  • Manual and packaging in the language of the market, European plugs.
  • Comparison with the approved sample, to catch a component swap.

Shipping battery-powered products

Lithium batteries are dangerous goods for transport. Sea freight accepts them with a specific declaration; air freight is more restrictive and more expensive. Plan for it in your budget and timeline, and see our customs and compliance guide.

How we work

A free first call to understand your project; a sourcing study with scope and price set in writing; then negotiation, samples, production follow-up, pre-shipment inspection, freight and customs clearance to your door.

Frequently asked questions

Not always. We check that the test report covers your model, is recent and comes from an accredited laboratory. If not, we arrange new tests.

Yes, that is OEM or private label. You then become responsible for the compliance of the product under your brand, so the documents must be up to date.

It depends on the product and the level of customisation: an existing product with your logo requires less than a custom development.

We negotiate warranty terms with the factory upfront, for example a percentage of spare units or free replacements included in the order.
